Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-22.
Beta: Mneme is in closed beta, so these terms are not final. The products, prices and wording below can still change. Changes appear here with a new date above, and anything that materially affects a purchase you have already made is emailed to you first.
Scope and contracting party
These terms apply to purchasing Mneme Pro (as a subscription or as a one-time Lifetime purchase) and the AI subscriptions (AI Basic / AI Plus) through the Mneme app or our checkout provider, LemonSqueezy. The contracting party is Jason Lang, see the Impressum.
What you're buying
Mneme Pro removes per-deck card limits and unlocks other app features, tied to your signed-in account. It is sold as an ongoing subscription, billed either annually or monthly, and alternatively as Mneme Pro Lifetime, a one-time purchase that grants the same features for as long as the app is offered. AI Basic / AI Plus are ongoing subscriptions that provide a monthly usage allowance for Mneme's hosted AI features (deck generation, card explanations). Exact scope and current pricing are shown in the app under Settings > Billing.
Placing an order and payment
Purchases go through our payment processor LemonSqueezy's checkout, which acts as Merchant of Record. Clicking the clearly labelled order button (an "order with obligation to pay" button or equivalent) constitutes a binding offer to pay. Invoicing, VAT handling, and payment processing are carried out by LemonSqueezy under their own terms.
A launch discount offered to waitlist members applies either to the first year of a Mneme Pro subscription or to a Mneme Pro Lifetime purchase, at the member's choice. On a subscription it applies to the first billing year only; renewals are charged at the regular price. The discount does not apply to the AI subscriptions.
Right of withdrawal
Consumers within the EU have a right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive (as implemented in Austria by the FAGG). It applies to every purchase covered by these terms: a Mneme Pro subscription, a Mneme Pro Lifetime purchase, and an AI subscription.
Withdrawal notice: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (hello [at] jware.at) of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your notice before the withdrawal period expires.
Early expiry for digital content: Your right of withdrawal expires early if we begin performance after you have expressly agreed that we may start before the withdrawal period ends, and you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. At our checkout that consent is part of LemonSqueezy's buyer terms rather than a separate confirmation step, so we do not rely on it during the beta: withdraw within 14 days and you get your money back.
Model withdrawal form (if you wish to withdraw from the contract, fill in this form and send it to hello [at] jware.at):
To Jason Lang, Marktstraße 40, 6850 Dornbirn, Austria: I/We hereby give notice that I/We withdraw from my/our contract for the purchase of Mneme Pro (subscription or Lifetime) / the AI subscription. Ordered on: __. Received on: __. Name of consumer(s): __. Address of consumer(s): __. Date: __.
Cancelling a subscription
The Mneme Pro subscription and AI Basic / AI Plus are ongoing subscriptions and can be cancelled anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period, from Settings > Billing in the app or directly with the payment processor. Access continues until that period ends, and there is no partial refund for the remainder of a period already paid for. Mneme Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
Warranty
Statutory warranty provisions apply. AI-generated content (cards, explanations) can be wrong or incomplete; it's provided as a study aid, not as verified expert advice.
Governing law and jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, the mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence apply where more favourable to them.
